27 March 2011 - ROC signs MOU with Future Farm Industries CRC Work towards producing biofuels from sustainable farm forestry made a move forward this month with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between ROC and the Future Farm Industries CRC.
The FFI CRC is Australia’s leading organisation for the promotion of mallee eucalypts as a new tree crop on farms across the wheatbelt. These trees may be grown sustainably alongside existing grain and livestock farming, where they can provide multiple environmental benefits for salinity control, reduced erosion and increased biodiversity. They may also be harvested regularly, as the trees coppice (resprout from the cut stumps). In this way they can provide farmers with a combination of sustainable commercial and environmental benefits.
Under the MOU, the two organisations will work together to develop a biofuels industry in Western Australia to promote and utilise mallee eucalypts.
23 February 2011 - ROC and Dynamotive announce work towards Joint Venture ROC and Dynamotive Energy Systems Corporation have agreed non-binding heads of terms that establish their directions for a joint approach to the development of a biofuels business in Australia. The Companies have agreed to negotiate exclusively with each other on final terms for this joint approach. Please refer to the joint press release on Dynamotive’s website.
June 30, 2010 - Dynamotive and IFP to co-operate in pyrolysis oil upgrading Dynamotive Energy Systems Corporation (Dynamotive) and IFP have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in the field of pyrolysis oil upgrading, with the aim of producing second generation biofuels.
IFP is a recognised leader in transport fuel technologies, with extensive, practical experience in the optimisation of fuels derived from crude oil and also alternative fuels with environmental benefits. IFP operates a significant research and demonstration facility at Lyon in France with more than 650 personnel. A program of work with Dynamotive is planned for 2010.
June 10, 2010 - Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co Ltd and Dynamotive enter into Memorandum to test BioOil as an alternative fuel in diesel engines Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co Ltd (MES) and Dynamotive Energy Systems Corp (Dynamotive) announced that they have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to form a new partnership that will serve as a platform to test, develop and market BioOil for application in slow and/or medium speed diesels globally.
Cooperation between the parties follows positive results achieved in the preliminary testing conducted in 2009.
