About Us

Girl with renewable oilRenewable Oil Corporation Pty Ltd (ROC) is developing a renewable energy business in Australia, based on innovative, commercially demonstrated pyrolysis technology.  This new business will utilise wood residues and green waste to produce renewable liquid fuels, charcoal and chemicals.

Our pyrolysis plants will be built close to sources of biomass feed.  The plants will produce fuels that may then be transported by road, rail or ship.  This allows production of renewable energy remote from the source of biomass.  Electricity and liquid fuels may therefore be focused on the needs and locations of users, not on the location of the biomass fuel.  Using biomass from plantation forestry, sugar cane processing or municipal waste, we can provide flexible, continuous renewable energy.

Project size is based around modular pyrolysis plants.  A pyrolysis plant module can process 65,000 dry tonnes (or approx. 110,000 green tonnes) of biomass each year.  This allows us to utilise sources of feed that may be too small for other second generation fuel technologies.

ROC can build, own and operate the pyrolysis plants.  Alternatively we can work in joint venture, or act as a technology provider to other parties.
